November 14-15, 2009
A Civil War battle will be held at the Green River Plantation on November 15th and 16th. It will include Cavalry, Artillery, and Infantry. Visitors will be able to wander through the camps of the Confederate and Union forces and experience the daily life of soldiers and civilians during the War Between the States. Musicians playing period music, sutlers selling wares, and a battle at 1:00 will be held each day. A period fashion show will be held Saturday and a ladies tea will be held Sunday. Saturday evening a formal ball will be held complete with the band, Paddywhack, a renowned American Folk band from Polk and Rutherford Counties.
