I am looking at a Surefire Z2 LED on amazon.com for $106 and the seller specifies that the flashlight was made/released in 2008. Quote: "2008 LED Z2L-BK Versions!!"
Does it make a difference what year the flashlight is made?
Also, does $106 sound about right?

With LED based lights the year matters because the LED emitters that have been produced in the past two years are WAY more powerful than the older ones (we've had a generational jump recently).
A new Z2 LED runs about $130 so $106 is not unreasonable in my opinion.
See Surefire's site (http://www.surefire.com/Z2L) for more info.

The flashlight is new and sealed in its original package.
The seller just states that it is was made in 2008.
Thanks for your response, I appreciate it.

There's only one Z2L
As of right now, same goes for (x)(y)L, where x and y are any letter or number
