shotgun slugs

I would like to try and shoot slugs in my 16ga ML.The lee 12ga keyed slug seems to be the right diameter without a shot cup.It's 7/8 oz,what should I use for a wad and how much pyrodex?same as 7/8's by volume?

A properly sized round ball would probably give better results on a live target, but if that slug is big enough to be tight enough in the barrel without falling out, I'd say start with 80 grains of powder and work up.
