I was perusing Gunbroker and I saw these, which I thought somebody might be interested in: 1,060 rounds of milsurp 7.62x51mm / .308 for around $550.

These are kick-ass rounds, I've used a bunch in my milsurp 7.62 rifle. They're steel jacket, lead core, quite accurate and will blow through 3 inches of solid concrete like it wasn't even there. (I turned a target slab into gravel.) I'd buy these up myself, but I don't have the cash. (That said, if anyone who does buy them wants to offer me a "finders fee" of say 50-100 rounds, I wouldn't turn it down. :D)

52 cents/rd + $40 shipping + 3% credit card fee (55 cents/rd) is cheap?

It's corrosive and not even reloadable!

Here's the same stuff, cheaper than the buy now price on the auction:

Relative to the prices of 70 cents a round for reloadable/noncorrosive milsurp in bulk, yeah, it's cheap. Not everybody reloads, and cleaning the rifle afterwards can be worth a couple hundred bucks a case.

ISC, is the ammo you listed non-corrosive? Also Pitman, what grain is that ammo?

Ar far as I know it's British Radway Green 147 grain. I've seen it at gun shows for more $$$. Comes in a sealed wooden case if you buy 10. The stuff I've looked at is very clean.

Mfg. Sellier & Bellot, Czech,

FMJ= full metal jacket
C= corrosive
BE= berdan primed (non reloadable)

Sellier & Bellot is a Czech company which, while decent ammo, is a far cry from Radway Green (very good stuff). If you look at the picture in the OP thread, it is the same box as the S&B in the link I posted.
