Will Ruger Blackhawk Grips fit on an Uberti 2nd model Dragoon?

Tdmoparguy, the Colt Dragoon is made for one a on piece grip... the Ruger Blackhawk like the Ruger Old Army ROA are two seperate side grips the screw to each other and have a locating pin... that's why thay won't work/fit...;)

You can use two or piece grips on a Colt open top. In fact many are three piece, the two grip panels glued to a center spacer.
The ROA grip panels are smaller than the Dragoon grip panels.

They won't work because they won't work. Completely different shape and length. The Dragoon is significantly larger. Not to mention the lack of a locator dowel.

The locating pin isn't a biggie but the Dragoon would look funny with two piece grips. The being to small is a biggie. Last I heard wood was pretty hard to stretch.:D
