No specific dates for Indiana, but some resources for match dates:

For rifle, I use a 20" AR in 223 with a 1.1-4x IOR scope, and a Rolling Thunder comp. If I were doing it again, I would go with an 18" barrel. More maneuverable, less weight, rifle length gas system.
If you have a suitable handgun, try some handgun matches to get the feel for moving and shooting with the timer running.

I was actually wondering about 18in uppers. Ive seen alot of guys using the Lepould(sp) tactical 4x scope, and ACOG's of sorts. What about running with a 3X magnifier on a EOtech?

Not sure about the EOTech. I see a fair number of them at shorter range matches (<100 yds) but going to the expense of EOTech+magnifier puts you close to the price range of the low power variables (Meopta, IOR, Leupold).

There is a Three Gun shoot in Livingston County, MI every third Sunday of the month.
I think they still have room for the one on July 19th.
www.mi3gun.com to register.

That will work fine provided you get a mag mount that allows you to swing the magnifier over to the side when you don't need it.
LaRue makes a good swing over mag mount and they sell it with a 2X magnifier (Poor-Boy) that works well. The name brand magnifiers are pretty expensive.
