OK, I'm also looking for opinions, too:). Got this yesterday. Pretty proud of it. Even though the pics look like the stock was "messed with". I really don't believe it is. Looks much better in person. Bore was also better than described, and came with the original cleaning rod. I really think this is a neat one. Shorter but heavier than a 38 carbine. Oh, and it is missing the rear sight elevator. Anyone have one?

Wow.

Nice condition, and with the mum!

I'm going to be nosy, but what did you have to give for it?

$350. They're just so hard to come by in this shape.

Not as much as I would have thought.

Last one I saw in good condition was, IIRC, $550.

A little higher than I normally pay for anything, but I sold off a couple of common duplicate T-99s so, what the hell.

The Mum has not been ground, but has been marred by a circular punch. That was common on guns passed on to schools (equivalent of College ROTC) and military academies.

The mum is slightly "defaced", but I will take this, or a couple of slashes over a full ground mum. One of the Type 38 Carbines I have has an untouched mum with the school mark ("bun") as well.
