Howdy guys..Saw a beutifulllll SAA yesterday, had black shiny ebony grips. I'm thinkin of gettin the same for my Navy. Checked in DGW's catalog, cant find anything like this for the one piece imports. I'd like to redo the grip I have now into ebony, but I suck at woodwork. Is there an easy way to do this....or does someone out there sell ebony grips for the piettas, because i cant seem to locate anything.....Aprrecite the help!

Well creature...Im not sure...very well coulda been, All I know is the guy said they were ebony, and I want my Navy to look just like it, maybe even spend some bucks and have a fake ivory inlet of the grim reaper on the left side. If I was any good with wood, I'd at least try to find some ebony stain, and try that, but I doubt it'd have the same look to it.

You could simulate ebony with black lacquer paint. It takes several coats, I have seen a few that looked great.

These are Ebony grips made by Hogue. I had to do a little fitting and also took off some of the gleam but they were only around $50.
