I just received it and the whole kit appears to be in very good shape.
It's a used Pietta 1860 Colt Army with a BC date code and made in 1993.
Until I saw this one I didn't even realize that Pietta made any presentation sets.
Does anyone know if they still make them?

EMF still lists a number of cased sets.
Cabelas listed five or six different cased sets back in the early '90s. Here's one of them. Its a Pietta 1860 Marshal Model Army. (that is well used.) http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c86/fingersmcgee/Cased1860Army.jpg
And here's another. It's a Uberti Dragoon/baby Dragoon set.

They also had a double Pocket model cased set, an 1860 Army w/shoulder stock set, and a Navy set IIRC.

The 1860 set came shipped as an apparently Cabelas put together set. The pistol was in a Traditions box (same as you can get them now); Nickel plated powder flask was in a Cabelas box; the mold was also in a Cabelas box; and the case was in a plain brown wrapper.
The Uberti set, on the other hand, may have been put together by Uberti. All of the items were in Uberti packages; except the case that was in a plain brown wrapper.

The pictured cased set was put together by Uberti for Cabala's. The display case was provided by Cabela's case maker that was operated by a very neat lady in Colorado Springs. Sad to say she is no longer in business. Decided to retire.
RPRCA has one of these sets complete with all boxes and papers for sale. The revolvers bear the same serial number. You will never see this done again. The set is listed for $795 plus shipping at present. It is going to be raised $50 July 1, to compensate for the devaluation of Obama's U.S. Monopoly Money he is running off on his little printing press.
