I am rephrasing the question because although my other question got allot of views I got only an answer or two.

Where can I take a weapon retension course? do they offer this as a part of a personal protection course at a gun safety class. this is when I am open carrying. I need tips or advice on how to retain my weapon. the obvious I know and normal my right arm/elbo or hand is always covering it. but if it was ever reached for from behind, (and yes I can tell distence of people behind me via the sound of foot steps) or beside me, but besides a wack with an elbo, if some one was atempting to disarm me, is that just cause to stop the threat anyway I see fit, to be blunt would I get arrested if I pulled the weapon while struggling with a BG and firing in to him/her?

Thanks for your opinion. or info on classes.

I'd suggest a PM to Mas Ayoob. He is a member on this site and if anyone would know, I'd bet on him.

The Army and Marine Corps might be willing to provide some basic training in this area.

The Navy and the Air Force are only likely to do so if you go into a limited set of specialties...
