I just got some of the new S&W target grips that they are
installing on the current "Classic" N-Frame revolvers. I put a set
on my 29-2 and just love them. The original grips were
too clubby for me as my hands are on the smaller side.
Ebay sourced at $50, but I think S&W sells them too.

I also put a pair of their similar K-Frame grips on my M19.
Both revolvers are in the first pic. 2nd pic is 29-2, old grips
and new grips on gun.

How about giving an auction number for the "K" frames?

yeah, want info on the k frames.

I got a 65-1 (99% condition) that I would love to put a set of grips on with super nice wood like the one in your picture.

I just checked his listings. All he shows now is N-Frames. But
you might want to contact him and ask him if he has any K Frames.
This guy has sold a LOT of these grips in the past month or so.

This is not my first choice for heavy loads, but it's great for fast DA shooting with light to medium loads.

The Hogue rubber grips (Goodyears) is what all my Smith revolvers wear as everyday attire. Great comfort and feel. Condusive to long enjoyable range sessions.

The new walnut grips on my 29-10 hurt my hand. I swapped them out for a Hogue hardwood grip. Much better, and no, I won't sell the originals.

Doc, I put a pair of these on my old M28 that was converted to .44 Special. I like the looks of the older target grips but these newer ones feel better in the hand and handle better when shooting.

Hello Doc
Grip's to me have to fit shooter's Hand much like a pair of shoes to be comfortable. I switched over to Smooth factory Presentation Grips on my Model 29-2 Years ago. My reason was that I had a set of Factory checkered ones on it and the Checkering ripped my Right thumb wide open from recoil. S&W used to make slimmer Checkered grips back in the Mid 1950's for the Model 29 and some call them Coke Profile grips. These are Heavily Sought after and average $500.00 Plus per set when a Nice Pair is located. I came across the Ones shown on my Model of 1950 .44 Special hand eject recently shown. They have an original flawless finish, and this is the Most expensive set of grips I have to date. They feel Nice in my hand, but not close to the Comfort of my Original Walter Roper grips from the late 1930's shown on my Model 25-2 revolver..... Hammer It
