Picked up a nice mohawk with the brown finish. It has some surface rust on the reciever. How should I go about removing it? I think steel wool would be out of the question because it would remove the brown finish? Any one have any ideas thanks richard

The metal on Model 66 Mohawk Brown rifle was originally blued. Removing rust with oil on 0000 steel wool is an acceptable way of stopping the corrosion.
