Alright I rolled out the new 870 Tactical tonight. I field stripped it before heading the range...all oiled up and good to go.
Got to the range and I loaded up 6 shells (I have the mag extension) blasted those. After that it was hit or miss as to whether is would accept 5 or 6.
I realize the spring is binding :(but how do I eliminate that issue?
Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

I just got a tactical and in the store they told me it was a a 7 shell tube with one in the hamber making 8. I did not believe it myself ajd sure anuf when i got home I could only fit 4!!!!!!
I took the whole tube apart and removed the spring replacing it promptly. After reassembly the tube holds 6. Go figure.

Store clerk was wrong. 870 tactical hold 6 in the tube, plus one in the chamber, for a total of 7. Sometimes the spring gets kinked. After cleaning, I load 6 in the tube. If i can't get them in, I take the spring out and do it again until it holds 6. Once it's right, it's right and won't kink up on it's own.

Not a bad idea to spend 5 bucks on a wolff extra power spring, either. I think I'm gonna get one. Have herd great things about them.
