Colt new police .32

Hi guys, I've recently aquired a Colt New Police .32 and would like to know what ammo to fire out of it. 32 short colt or .32 S&W. I've been told that it would fire both, but dont want to get the wrong ammo. The unit is in overall good condition and should be ok to shoot now and again. Any info would be great. Thanks,

.32 S&W

It will shoot .32 S&W or .32 S&W Long. The latter is preferred, and it is the same thing as .32 Colt New Police.

The .32 Sort Colt and .32 Long Colt cannot be used in it.

People sometimes informally refer to the.32 S&W as .32 S&W "short" to distinguish it from the .32 S&W Long.
