The Express Magnum was seldom bought by police departments. They almost always buy the 870P Police model.
True some did, and some individual cops bought them.
The Express is Remington's "budget gun" made to sell at a price low enough to compete with the cheaper to make Mossberg and Winchester guns.
The receiver is the same forged and milled steel as the better versions, and will give as good service as the more expensive guns.
A question is what brand is the extension? If it's a genuine Remington, that ups the price.
A genuine Remington will have an odd looking extended end on the front of the tube, and will have a groove in the middle of the extension for the barrel clamp screw to interlock with.
The Remington also has a separate collar that screws on the gun, then the tube screws into that.
Most aftermarket extensions are brazed to the collar.
Value depends entirely on actual condition, but at least $250. and up.
