Thanks for reading. I am new to reloading and this is the second time I reloaded. I am using once fired Sellier Belliot .45 acp shells and fmj 230 bullets. I have a rock chucker supreme with RCBS carbide dies, I sized and deprimed, tumbled and cleaned pockets. But after pushing the 230 fmj bullet in, it seems as there is a small bulge where the bullet sits. Very slight but noticeable to feel, and sight if held in the light. I measured the bullets with a pair of digital calipers and the bullets measure .451, The case where the bullet sits to .470 and the case below that point is .466. They sit nicely in the barrel and slide in and out easily. It's just I am new and it just looks strange, I see a little of it it factory loads. Just asking if this is normal or did I size these cases incorrectly?

If a case is narrow enough to hold onto the bullet by friction, it has to narrower than the bullet. If follows that when you push the bullet in, it will stretch the case diameter out. You can see the step in diameter that results in.
If the bulge is more on one side than the other, then the bullet didn't go quite straight into the case. It will still shoot fine, but may not be quite as accurate as ones seated a little more straight in.

Thanks Unclenick, your logic is obvious and I guess it was a dumb question but I am trying not to make mistakes. I never really noticed this on factory loads but I guess I am taking closer looks now.

Just looked at some factory ammo I happen to have in the drawer and both Federal and S&B have the same bulge. That tight fit in the case does a lot more than the crimp does to keep the bullet from setting back when chambered.
