A couple of years ago, I bought a Ruger SS Bearcat - very fun gun. It cost $349. Now at the same shop and others around town, I see this guy for $479.

I should have invested my entire pension plan in Bearcats rather than

Wonder why the big increase in this little guy - other guns have gone up too. SW 642s where at $399 a few months ago and now the mid 400s.

Based on the current "shortage" of guns and ammo and the 'troubled' stock market we all should have invested in guns and ammo - especially handguns and AR's. All gun prices seem to be up quite a bit over the past 6 months, more than can be said about the 'market'.

They're charging big prices for the same reason a dog licks himself.

Because they can.

They don't have to make deals to sell firearms, so they don't. They don't even have to make deals to sell ammunition, so they don't.

It's a good time to sell them I guess, if you have a few you don't need or want.

When the fear mongering stops the prices will drop.

I know about Obamania or OPD - Obama Purchasing Disorder (psych joke I just made up!).

However, facing the end of the world - Bearcats? EBRs, Glocks, etc. but cute little 22s that my kid thinks is adorable? What kind of panic is that!

Just went to Cabelas - lots of Glocks at high prices, 1911s of different flavors. Lots of Mini 14s - only a couple of EBRs and one was that Remington (it's really for varmints!!).

Also, they had a boat load of Fiocchi 223 for $25.00 for 50. Academy has had tons of Blazer Al 9mm.
