What makes the 500A an A?

500A = 12 gauge
500B = 16 gauge
500C = 20 gauge
500D = .410 bore

The letters designate gauge and/or model... Just type in what you have to google... Mine is a *C* and is a 20...

500B = 16 gauge (never actually seen one)
500C = 20 gauge

That'd be my guess and it would make sense, but I've never seen one. Like Smitty, I've never seen a B for that matter either.

There was talk about a "B" that was for sale on GunBroker....

But mysteriously, nobody could ever provide a link????

I'd love to get one "just because", but I think they rank right up there with Bigfoot and little green men.....

Thanks guys. I thought it may have meant the 'model' , like Persuader or Mariner or whatever. My gun was used, and was just curious about what it may have originally been. It's matte black with a heat shield. 20" barrel, 8 shot.
