I just found a S&W 19-8, 2.5", and put it in layaway.
I have 19-2 through 19-5's, and a 19-7. This is my first model 19 with the frame mounted firing pin.
Does anyone else have a 19-8 variant?
How does it stack up against the older versions? Any problem with light strikes? Did this variant get the California drop test approved firing pins?
I didn't want to abuse my collection of 66's and 19's anymore than I have, but wanted to kepp a 19 snubby for carry. This is a 19 I would not miss, and the price was right.
