Smith and Wesson has a model 610 which is a 10mm and also chambers .40. If I had the desire to fire a large caliber revolver shouldn't I be looking at a .44 mag or .500 mag?
I also have a glock 23 (.40)

Yes, S&W did (pre-lock) and does (last I checked it was a lock version) make the 10mm 610.

I personally really like the 10mm cartridge. I carried/tried three different .44 mags before settling on a G29 in 10mm for my favorite "hiking gun" and CCW. (Note: "hiking gun" is back up to a hunting rifle or a slug 12 gauge.)

Depends on why you want the gun. I would not mind a pre-lock 610, but still would not carry it much. Range fun, yes.

Not sure of what your criteria is for looking at/comparing different handguns in this post. But, myself personally I would take the pre-lock 610 over the other's listed.

I have a 4" 610. It's an N frame so is quite heavy. Accurate and powerful, the ballistics are close to .357 Mag. Can also shoot .40 S&W for reduced loads. You have to use moon clips. It's not my carry around gun because of the weight. It all depends on what you want to carry it for. For two legged critters it should shine.
