Pick this up the other day. Its OAL is 62" and barrel is 40" plus an inch for the choke.

It has a serial number on the side M004250

Ive taken it apart trying to identify it but i got no where. Its not in any of my literature either.

Any help would be great.

Look at the gun real close. I do alot of custom barrels and have saw a lot that builders add to them. We have some shoots that make you use a 7/8 OD barrel. They will add a piece of tubeing to the gun. Some do it the way it should be did and some will just do what ever to get your money. I have saw them blow off the end.

Looks like a Savage to me, but I could be wrong. Go to www.savagearms.com Do not click on shotguns but centerfire rifles. Then click on "specialty guns". It is listed as a bolt action slug gun. Sorry, cannot help with barrel as they show one much shorter.

Edited to add:

Marlin used to make a pump with a 40 " barrel and they had a bolt action that had a 36" barrel. They had a different stock but it could also be one of the Marlins. Had an afterthought after my origional post.

Mossberg 695 from the what I can see but could be a 595. The 595 did come with a 38 inch barrel. Go to Numrich Arms it may be of some help to you.

I checked the barrel inside and out and im sure its one piece.

I looked at the savage slug warriors and it did look very similar just shorter barrels.

The mossberg 695 looks to be the closest to it. Good to find a website that still have some parts for available for it too.

Thanks for the help fellas. I had a friend bet me $100 i couldn't drop a dove out of the air when dove season re-opens in January. Im always up for a challenge...
