i Used to have a a 12 ga. bolt action sears robuck shotgun, and really liked it. i sold it one day cuz I was broke but have regreted the act ever since. anybody know where i could get one of these?

How meny do you want. LOL look on gun broker. They are the JC Higgins. You can find then real cheap. Just look around some pawn shops. I see them for 50 to 75 all the time.

Ummm... I sure wish a GS would take a look at this thread.
There was a major safety recall with SOME Sears bolt SG's some buncha years back. SG owners were requested to send their bolts back to Sears where they would get something like a $50 check or gift card. It seems the bolts developed a ruther nasty habit of parting company with the SG in a high velocity fashion. This might not have been so bad for folks who only shot from a remote machine rest, but the other 99.9999999% might object to being slapped upside the head with a quite large hunk of offending steel.

Ahh, memories...
In my youth, the second time I ever fired a shotgun was a with borrowed Sears bolt action. The damn thing broke my nose.

i liekd it, for its size(course that one was cut) and the 5 shot cap. it was fun and am gonna try and get another.

That is correct with the recall. It had a screw that would back out then you had not a thing to hold the bolt. It would come out. That said you can buy them all over. Alot of them do not have the bolt. Sears was buying the bolt back.
