Picked it up in a yard sale two weeks ago and I need a history lesson, please.
On the rib it says "W & C. Scott & son, Dorset Place Pall Mall England"
further down in smaller italics "laminated steel"
on the underside is, I'm guessing, the serial number, 14149
12g. Hammer locks. Lot of engraving. But somewhere down the line someone had tried to strip a portion of the stock and never finished. It had so much dirt crusted onto it, it took awhile to even find the name.
Any help with a little background would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.
