I'm having trouble locating 12 gauge magazine spring for Ithaca 37.

It's a five shot tube for 2 3/4" shells.

Can I use any 12 gauge spring designed for a five shot tube?

Thanks in advance.

Pick up a Remington spring and test it out, its only a few bucks. You may have to shorten it. The best idea would be to call Ithaca though and order one.

Yes. Many people use aftermarket mag springs, like Wolff or Scattergun Technologies (which is probably Wolff), regardless of shotgun make. Wolff doesn't show specific mag springs for the Ithaca 37, but they do have generic springs. If you have the old spring, just count the number of coils and cut the generic one. Here's the appropriate page from the Wolff website:

As texgun said, you should be able to use just about any 5 round spring. There is not much difference between overall length of mag tubes. I my memory serves me the mag follower is different and needs to be maintained.

I do not know what is the current practice for Wilson Combat, but before the sale of Scattergun Tech, they did not use Wolff mag springs.

All: Thanks for the suggestions. I think most any spring will work like most have suggested. Thanks for the responses. :) I still have the old spring and will try cutting one to fit soon as I can pick one up.
