I have a Taurus model 66 (4" barrel) that I would like a nice holster for. I have been looking around, but it seems that about none of the major manufacturers make their Taurus 66 holsters in left handed form.

The only thing I've found so far is a couple of ugly suede holsters. :barf:

Will I need to get an ugly generic holster or what??

If this is the old model 66 (six shot) then it will fit any 4" S&W K frame holster. I don't know if the newer ones will fit or not.

You want left handed, here you go and its listed for your Taurus 66. This is a Galco.

Galco makes great products. Packin' Heat stocks a ton of left handed stuff (I'm a lefty) and has great prices and customer service. I order most of my stuff from them.

You can't go wrong with either Packin' Heat or Galco.

Enjoy.

Any 'K' frame holster should fit. Uncle Mike's makes inexpensive, ballistic nylon, ambidextrous, 'K' frame, holsters.
Bianchi, you don't get much more 'major', makes all their holsters left or right. Including basket weaved.
Decide how much money you want to spend first. You'll need a good belt to go with it too.

I looked at the Bianchi holsters. Would the following holster be good for CCW, if I decide to obtain that in the future? It doesn't seem like it would fit against you as tightly as something like a pancake holster.

I haven't had any experience with that type holster, but I'd guess it wouldn't be your best beat for CCW. As you said, a pancake style holster made for CCW would likely work better and conceal easier.

Something like this might be what you had in mind.

If you are thinking about a possible CCW, I would suggest you don't go cheap on holsters. Get a good leather holster and a good leather gun belt.

A+++ for packineatleather.I order all my gear from them especially knowing they carry anything left handed.I wished i had known about this site 16 years ago.I had actually passed up some guns in my time because it's so hard to get a left handed holster and if you did get one it took forever to get it.When i oder from packin it's here in 5 days or less sometimes.
