In the early '80s, Uberti made five models of Colt cap and ball revolvers in stainless steel. Some of the castings for these revolvers were sent to Colt and became 2nd Generation Colts. Others were assembled and sold through Allen Firearms Co - Santa Fe, NM. I'm looking for some of those Uberti stainless steel cap and ball revolvers that were imported by Allen Firearms. The models produced were:
.44 cal 1860 Army,
.36 cal 1851 Navy,
.36 Cal 1861 Navy,
.36 Cal 1862 Pocket Navy and
.36 1862 Pocket Police.
Also interested in 2nd Gen SS revolvers

From the looks of things, you are going to be at this for some time. Luck is in order.

Hey Fingers,
You need a colt 1st gen dragoon, if so, there's a fella selling one for $500.00 on the civil war reenactors forum. It's on the 3rd page(?) maybe. Anyway if you're interested take a look several pages back.
Take care and keep yer powder dry,

Fingers, I hope you don't mind the piggy-back, but I would like to find a stainless 1851 Navy and a stainless 1862 Pocket Navy!
