I'm looking to buy a new barrel for an older Wingmaster I own. It only fires 2 3/4", so does Remington even make an 18 or 20" replacement barrel in blue that's labeled for 2 3/4" only?

They're close to 300 bucks is what I found out when I wanted a short bbl for my older WM. I wound up getting a police trade in bbl for 50 bucks. Yeah, it is a 3" bbl but I know it only takes 2 3/4" shells. (For 250, I'll use my brain!!)
Just don't loan it out and nothing to worry about.;)

I have not looked for a 2 3/4" but there are barrells out there in that length for 3" which will fit your receiver. Simply do not insert 3" product into your gun. The real problem is bluing, most of the current blued barrels in the length will not match up with your W/M reciever, they will look different.

I just replaced my wingmaster barrel with a Mossberg barrel. The price was a little over $100.00. Like yours, my wingmaster is chambered for 2 3/4 only. The barrel just says replacement barrel for Remington arms 2 3/4 and 3" mag.
On mine the blueing is very close to the same.

First off
You can put either barrel on any 870 and it will work. you just shoot 2 3/4 inch shells when either the reciever or the barrel says "only 2 3/4 inch" a good gun smith can change the ejector with a mag ejector which is shorter, for about 40 bucks.
If you are looking for a short barrel for HD< go looking in the used barrels for a fixed choke full choke 30 inch or 28 inch barrel marked either "2 3/4 only" or "2 3/4 and 3 inch" (either way,) and cut it back to about 18 3/4 inchs at the front of the VR post, or get a plain barrel and drill and tap for a bead. Either way, with a hack saw, a file and a de burring tool you can get one for about 40 bucks.
