Any feed back on the MI forend? I like the idea af being able the use the top and 2 sides without the bottom. Is there any others that do that?

they tend to be heavy and often pretty far out of spec(possible trouble fitting items you want).

I understand there are 2 models. 1 for Colt's only, and 1 for all others. Are the any other out there the will work without the bottom?

You can run a 37 mm flare launcher or shotgun under the barrel.

hmmm....thought you could do that with a rail as well.never looked into it much though.

The VLTOR CASV-EL is free float, uses the Delta ring and the bottom can be removed for mounting a grenade launcher...

They are a good value, but I prefer LaRue and Daniel Defense.

I have since gone with a Larue but the MI drop-in rails have served me well.
