After close examination of my Mav88 i noticed the site and the bolt on the bottom of the bore are off a few degrees. it doesnt appear to have had any work done on it leading me to believe it came from the manufactuer like this. When i aim the gun looking down the barrel the site looks like its about 7% to the right. Also the bolt underneath the barrel looks about 7% to the right. Is this how its soposed to be, and will there be any real effect when shooting?

Im not sure if that the way its supposed to be but if not, Send it back. They will fix it for free. My 500 isnt like that.

i dont know if the mav88 comes with lifetime warranty. i sold this shotgun to a buddy like 7 years ago and just got it back a few weeks ago. I bought it from a pawn originally so i dont know who the original owner of it is or when it was built.

how much would a gunsmith charge to correct this? And how much would some beadblasting run for the barrel and magazine?

If it is shooting to the POA leave it alone.

Why bead blast? Call Mossberg and see what they say. I think it will be covered if its a defect. Smittys charge by the hour with jobs like that. You could get an estimate that will be close.
