I'm thinking of buying the Mossberg 930-SPX. Can anyone with first-hand knowledge give me some insight? Thanks.

I've got one. It runs great. It runs everything I feed through it, from Win A-A trap #7 1/2 up to 3" slugs and "00"Buck. The only problem I had is a little plastic piece called forearm addaptor broke. I called Mossburg and they sent me 2 new ones. The broken adaptor did not cause any problems with the fuction of the 930. I was at a tactial shot gun clinic and during timed shoot i fired 3 rounds in 1.23 seconds all on target at pepper poppers@10 yrds. and 3 hits. It likes remmington sluggers also it shoots 4" groups @ 50 yrds. After I got this SPX I greased up my 1100 and put it in storage in the back of my safe. The SPX makes a great gun for 3 gun shoots. My wife even likes it. I hope this information helps you.

Read this review that was done by a M24shooter a very experienced tactical shotgunner. It has everything you would want to know, good and bad.

I'm approaching 5,500 rounds, still no malfunction.
Mossberg really did their homework whe they designed the 930 series... they took the best features from most of the great guns and made a very reliable shotgun.
