Quick question for the newbie,

I've got a Remington 870 I'm hooking up with a Knoxx stock and a light, standard mall ninja home defense setup, and I was wondering if there are any useable* ghost ring sights out there for decent prices.

(*useable:see performs well, not total POS, actually works alright.)

Feel free to toss in your advice, or pertinent remarks....

let's focus on that word "pertinent"

Thanks,

-Swiper.

It depends on what you consider decent price. The best low cost sight would be the Mossberg GRS. The best quality higher priced GRS with many options would be the LPA sights. Wild West Guns has come out with a nice set for the 870 that are around $100. Look them up on the net. Brownells is now stocking them. There many others and I could go one....ect You will have to have your 870 tapped for the rear sight. That runs about $20 a hole if you can't do it yourself.

I don’t know about a decent price, but I love the MMC’s (http://www.mmcsight.com/) I have on my Vang Comp (https://www.vangcomp.com/) 870.

I think ghost ring sights on a HD gun are a worthless, you need them to make 75yd+ shots with slugs. I like the XS big dot night sight on my 870, I can shoot clays with it so hitting COM is easy.
