Are you asking $420 for this shotgun? Do you have any photos and will you ship to a C&R holder?

I understand it is OK to ship to C&R license holder - dam thing is older then I am. Buyer pays shipping - or we can talk.

Better quality pic in 8/20 "for sale" thread.

Winchester Model 1897 12ga. Pump shotgun. Breakdown model with two barrels. Serial number is 69XXX indicating manufactured in 1899 or 1900 depending on reference. Matching serial number barrel is 32” full choke. Second barrel is 28” Cylinder SN 107XXX indicating manufacture around 1900. Action is solid - I have fired this gun many times with no problems. Both bores are good . Bluing on original receiver/barrel is about 50% - cyl. Barrel about 70%. Overall exterior condition very good considering age. Stock has been refinished (Linspeed?) and shows some hairline cracks but otherwise intact and very serviceable. Original metal butt plate intact. Both pump handles intact with minor cracks. Cyl. Barrel has had thin brass cap tacked onto leading edge of pump handle wood. This gun shows expected handling marks and good overall care. No evidence of rust pitting, significant scratches or dents. Second barrel would allow for modification for Cowboy Shooting use without changing value of the original gun. First $550.00 takes it - plus any shipping from No. Nevada.

Thanks for your interest.
I'm Asking $550 for the set - shotgun and extra barrel. It’s obvious $ is a little tight right now, if you are really interested we can talk.

The original number matching barrel is a 32" full choke. The extra barrel is a 28” cyl. Choke. Both bores are in good shape, The gun and both barrels are intact including the original bead sight. It’s a good shooter. I have owned the gun for about 45 years. :o

By the way, I'm looking for a Marlin 336 shooter (or equivalent) for field / ATV use. The shotgun when sold will fund the acquisition.
