Thanks for the offer Flatheadsal; but, it's not a 2nd gen. All of the Second Gen flasks had either a pewter or a blue/black finish over the copper.

is it 3rd gen? I know I've seen one like it related to modern Colts

I cant say for sure if it's a Sig series flask or not; but I'm betting not. The only Sig Series ones I've seen are either silver plated or are two toned with the body being blue/black & the eagle being polished copper.
If I were to guess, it's an aftermarket pocket model flask. I had a Cabelas 3rd Model and Baby Dragoon double cased set that had the same copper flask in it. The set was made by Uberti.

Hi Fingers!!
I'm headed to an auction (tomorrow AM, Saturday May 23rd)
that will have ALL OF THESE MODELS (NIB) up for bid.
If YOU help me bid (give me prices), I'll buy them for you.
(I'll use my money and then send you pictures of the items
purchased,. If you want them, I'll resell them to you for
a small finders fee.)
I'm just a newbie in the collecting arena, and it would be fun to
'find' some neat and collectiable models.
Email me quick and I'll send you my phone number, we'll talk!!

Hi Fingers,
I attended the auction and picked up a few items. :D
The ones 'you' were looking for (F1200 and Walker F1600) sold for
$275 and $375 (respectively). If you were looking for Mint cond, these were not it. :(
They were 'unfired' and NIB, (with papers) but... the previous owner (who's deceased) did not store them properly. Many issues, with rust flecks here and there, on the surface. Some models affected more than others.
They would've made good shooters, but as for collectors, not so much. :-(
I 'personally' purchased a few items (a couple of Winchester
Rifles (mod 94) NIB., a Colt .45 (New Frontier Model P4870) and
a 2nd gen BlackPowder series Model F1210.)
What's the value of this one (see pics). Apparently (based on the Black Powder shooters at the Auction), the SS models are not desireable. :barf: But... since this one had no rusting issues..., I purchased it.
Now I just need to see if I got a good deal.
Sorry we didn't speak before the auction. (not enough time).
Cheers

This is an oddity. I once bought a 2nd gen Navy revolver that was nib, in a plain white box, but it was all in the white, no finish. No markings or engraving whatsoever. Except a serial number. Had the 2nd gen booklet with it. Not even a cylinder scene. I found out it was a blank gun for custom engraving that was set back and apparently never issued for that custom service. Sold it cheap too. It was most defininitely a 2nd gen gun, vastly superior in fit and finish to a normal Italian replica. Was polished up nice too, no proof marks or machine marks on it. How it got out of the factory that way, I will never know. Maybe in a clean up after the production run was done.

Howdy all. Sorry I missed the auction. I was shooting Prince of Pistoleers in Kansas over the weekend.
Even though the 1200 and 1600 were shooter grade I'd have used them as such - oh well........
The stainless steel is a desireable 2nd Gen. There were only around 1600 of em made compared to around 7,500 standard F1200 models. Latest Blue Book lists them at $850 NIB. I have seen one or two go for more in the last year; and a couple for significantly less.
Every now & then some 'in-th-white' 2nd gens show up. There was a collection of 10 with identical serial numbers pop up earlier this year - reportedly from a collection that a Colt employee put together in the 70's when they were made. They went way too cheap IMHO. Wish I could have bid on them; but they were out of my price range even at the low price.
