Should and then again, you might want to look at one of the Shotgun/Muzzleloader scopes with the extended eye relief. There are many on the market in all kinds of price ranges and some have illuminated reticles.
Be safe ...

for no more than the average person shoots almost any decent scope will work they sell "muzzleloading" scopes but I've used old bushnell and cheap tascos they have worked just fine for over 10 years. I only shoot 40-50 rounds a year, but they are still on.

Why?

Its a muzzleloader for crying out loud. They are intended to be used with traditional sights. If you want a scope, then go centerfire in the regular season.

Traditionals:
I would never scope a Traditional "Style" rifle, as I feel that the spirits of Sam and Jake Hawken, would come down from the sky and smite me.

In-Lines:
To scope one is to try and get the Max. performance that it can present.:)

In either case:
I never tell a man what to do with his money or his wife.

Be Safe!!!
