5 1/2" barrel. Stainless steel with Ruger simulated ivory grips and fixed sights. 2 years old. Comes with Ruger grey plastic case and all original paperwork with nipple wrench. I have shot 12 shots of black powder and round ball, then bought 45 Colt cylinder conversion and fired about 350 factory loads thru it. Great shooter in great shape. I'm having tax problems, forced to sell. I paid $499.00 for the gun and $275 for the 45 cylinder. With sales tax I have over $800 in it. I hate to sell it but the first $675 takes it. My loss is someones gain. Good shootin.

It's mine when the check gets there. I contacted Honeycreek Trapper last week, got his FFL and had my FFL handle the paperwork.

Just make sure you mail the conversion cylinder separate from the frame. Neither one needs a FFL unless you ship them together (and maybe not even then, but I wouldn't wanna be the test case)

It's already been tested.

A percussion revolver with a cartridge cylinder is a custom manufactured firearm. It is legal to manufacture a firearm for your personal use. It is not legal to sell that firearm without a tax license. Under federal law (BATFE regulations) you can purchase and ship percussion revolvers both interstate and intrastate without either a tax license or an FFL. However, some state laws require the transfer be made through a license holder (New York comes to mind; I forget what CA requires but an internet search will tell you). BATFE has already stated that shipping a percussion revolver with a cartridge cylinder installed must be through a license holder. As to whether including the cylinder in the same package as the gun frame constitutes a violation, my understanding is that they (BATFE) have already charged people in a test case.
