scrat don't knowwhat state your from but here in wva you can't give away an old sidelock I had a thompson renegade in 50. been trying to get rid of for last two years local muzzleloading shop only offered $50. i wasn't going to give it away latter traded it at a local show for an old noble lever action 22cal. still paid $40.boot. they are in classified ads all timefor under $100.

I have a T/C carbine with excellent wood and bluing. Very low round count. 50 cal and has a low serial number 00240. 200.00 shipped. I have pictures to e-mail add.

The peoples republic of kalifornia. Where you cant find those kind of muzzleloaders without spending a fortune. Then trying to hide it from Arnold and the women in the Brady bunch.

Wow I was doing my Pawn shop scroungeing 2 years ago ..and ran into one that had 50 side lock rifles for sale ..he wanted to get rid of them because he said every one wants the inlines no side lock ...I went through what he had and bought 5 Thompson Hawkens 50 cals ..for 50 bucks apiece ..sold them for 200 bucks each to friends ....went back for more and they were all gone . I`m still looking for deals like that ..but the side locks are getting hard to find .

The only time I can find deals like that is when I'm flat broke.

Five guns at $50 each and I'd buy them too. I'd set up a rifle battery too just like a Requa Gun of Civil War fame.

Only reason I parted with the 5 Thompsons was ...they were all 1 inch barrels ..I can`t hold the dang things up ..I`ve got 2 with the 15/16 barrels and they are much lighter ..both flintlock .

i am still looking and it was my fault for not being more specific in the ad but i am looking for a full size rifle just because i plan on mostly putting holes in paper at longish ranges
