This D cell battery Kel-Lite flashlight was purchased over 35 years ago. As you can see I need an on/off button switch. Does anyone know if one can be purchased? I was also wondering if the bulb and faded plastic lense could be upgraded to today's standards.

the best advice I can offer is to salvage a switch from another light and hold it in with JB weld...

but a new flashlight wouldn't be a bad idea either unless that light has sentimental value :)

EDIT: if it uses the standard MAG size bulbs, its easy to use a MAG LED upgrade if you're willing to bore out the reflector a little bit.. the barrels on the LED modules are larger by a little bit to disallow you from using MAG modules in other brand lights.. but it works..

The Kel-Lite company was bought by Brinkmann, contact them to see if they have the switch.

They were good lights made for police work.
Here is a picture of a couple of C size that I bought in the early 70's.
