I love the finish Ruger calls "Target Gray" my research hasn't lead my anywhere real informative about it though. It's apparently just a process Ruger does to the steel to make it turn that cool dull gray yet it's smooth unlike bead blast. Anyone know of a place that can do this to any stainless weapon. I love that finish.

Only available from Ruger and they won't do a gun that wasn't shipped that way. So far, no one can reproduce it. I wish they had more offerings with the target gray finish.

Yeah... about the only ruger I'm interested in is the Alaskan in 44mag. But I sure would love it in Target Gray.
