Which is better for hogs, deer and black bears?

Is 00 buck acceptable for all 3?

or should the black bear get the slug and the others 00 Buck?

Slugs for all three.

Due to penetration issues with hogs I feel they warrant being placed in the large or at least "larger" game category. Bears may also deserve upgrade to larger game as well. Deer are a weaker easy to kill game animal. I have used buckshot for deer but would only use slugs for hogs. I have never and won't likely get to hunt bears but feel our little black bears would not need heavier ammo than a slug from 12-20 gauge...

In TN, buckshot is illegal for big game. Even if it was legal, I would still use a slug. Slugs have better penetration and accuracy.

beings how its a toss up between slugs and 00 buck i will choose slugs for all 3. i don't use 2 and 3/4" 00 i'll carry a couple of 3" 00 as a 3rd. shot to my #1 buck.

Slugs. You'll be lucky to have more than a couple buskshot pellets hit the target much past 25 yrds and there is no guarantees where they'll hit either.

Save the buckshot for two-legged vermin.
