Hey guys i am wanting to load some 50 action express and i just came by some 350 gr sierra sportsmasters that my local dealer wanted rid of they were only $15 a box so i bought them they have a cannalure groove but i was wondering if anyone here had ever reloaded any 350's since i cant find data anywhere online I guess if all else fails I will just use them in my 500 smith but I think they would work well in the desert eagle anyways any help would be great also I am kinda partial to H4227 powder so if there are any loads for it or any way to extrapolate a load from other data it would be great thanks guys.

I have not loaded any 350's, but have loaded 335's. Unfortunately I do not use H4227. I have loaded the Rainier 335's with AA#9, H110, and N110.

I also was interested in loading Berry's 350's. I even talked to Berry's to see if they were safe in the DE. Berry's said that their 350's were designed for the S&W 500 and were safely being pushed from 1200 to 1800 fps so they would have worked well with stout loads in the Eagle.

Unfortunately I too had no luck finding load data for the 350's.

I did talk to a bulletsmith at Vihtivuori and he said that a charge of 23 to 25grs of N110 should be a safe load. I never did try it though, so you're on your own on that.

Sorry I'm not much help.

Sierra Has Data For All Their Bullets.

Sierra has no 50AE load data for any 350gr bullet. Their 350 is designed for the S&W .500

I know a while back there was a factory 350 gr 50AE cartridge so it will work.

Use 400gr data or perhaps back off starting charge by 5-10% on a 325gr.

Call Sierra, they will help you with that issue. I've used Sierra bullets for years in pistols and rifles. Always work to help out with the problems. I'd call them before I do anything else.

Thanks, already did. No info on 50 AE with a 350gr.

I also have a 50AE Eagle and want to reload 350gr sierra JHP. According to Hodgdons online powder charts the 325 gr bullet starts off at 29gr of H110. and has a max load of 32.5. I have reloaded alot of other pistol calibers including the 45acp, 40s&w, 357 sig, and 357 magnum. But im just afraid that ill blow my hand off starting with the wrong amount of powder for this caliber. Not to mention that Hodgdons little free manuals you can get at the store say never to drop the starting load more then 3% with H110 beucase it can cause problems. So ive been looking forever if some one has successfully done this load please post it for me.

To ANYONE trying to reload 350gr 50ae here is a link to the reloading data for your needs.

http://www.reloadersnest.com/detail_handgun.asp?CaliberID=21&LoadID=555

It is listed with H110 but in order to see the powders you must click on the 2-3 digit number at the beginning of the load. For the 350gr 50ae the 3 digit number is 555. Thank you.
