Holster wear

Of all the holster materials (leather, nylon, Kydex, etc.), which is hardest on a gun's finish?

I'd guess Nylon, then Leather, then Kydex. It's how much dirt can get imbedded into the material. That's what will wear the gun.

Kydex tends toward point wear leather toward area wear - a clean nylon setup such as a fanny pack will tend to wear least. All assuming proper fit and kept clean. Just the same I choose leather - Alessi - I always figured my own blood would really be hard on my carry gun and should be avoided.
