I figured some of yall would enjoy this picture of my little setter/brittany cross and some birds she found saturday morning. This was her first trip out and I shot 13 birds over her. She really improved as the day went on and made several nice retrieves as well. I was shooting my favorite bird gun a Browning B2000 20 ga. with a skeet barrel.

Gorgeous dog, and a nice quail harvest. I'm totally jealous.

Wish I was not at work. Beautiful dog and what looks like a great hunt.

I haven't seen that many quail in over two decades :( and don't think I've even heard one in my past 10 years here in Maryland. As we old folks (I'm 47, but never been older) say "ain't how it was in the old days".

jrt, you shoulda been here a few minutes ago. One of the house coveys just came across my front porch.

Oops! Back again!

Blue quail are gregarious little critters. There's one bunch of some forty+ that comes past, enjoying the hen scratch.

Nice! Great pic of your dog & birds.

I got my first pheasant Sunday! With my little ole 410 - Remington 1100...:D

Quail are tasty - proably the best winged fowl there are.

Congrats!
