I bought an Apache ankle holster for my Bersa 380, and I wear it on top of my sock (which goes halfway up my calf). But I keep finding myself having to adjust it about every 30 minutes, b/c it slides down and rests on the top of my shoe. THe holster has a tight fit, but the weight of it with the gun tugs my sock down. It's not visable with my loose jeans on top, but very uncomfortable after awhile.

Would having an ankle holster with a calf-strap prevent the sliding?

I keep having to take "bathroom breaks" at work to readjust.

You should always wear your sock over the holster. Won't slide down and conceals when sitting and pant leg rides up.

If it is sliding down you are wearing it too high and/or too loose. And as alaready mentioned you can put the sock outside the holster (assuming it doesn't prohibit access) and wear an undersock.
