Atsco sells Sport Wash with no scents or brighteners, and also a pump-spray bottle of U-V-Killer to spray after you wash to kill the brightener effect OR you can spray it on unwashed clothing if you get it real wet. I bought the kit with the wash, UV Killer, and a little (supposed) blacklight to check the before-and-after results. That little light is a piece of crap (the size of a small keychain light). So the question is, has anyone tried it using a real blacklight?
Edit: You younguns needn't feel bad if'n you don't know what a blacklite is.

Never tried it. Baking soda mixed 50:50 with Borax acts like a pretty good detergent without so much marketing effort. Best to dry out on the clothesline in the wind and sunshine instead of in a dryer.

Maybe us "old-uns" should feel bad because we do know what a blacklite is...:D

I have not tried the blacklite trick, but do use the sportwash, which I thought removed the UV by itself.

M&M is probably right, it is a conspiracy to seperate us from our money - one of those things that would be really hard to prove one way or another...

You got that right. Well, there is (was?) one of those shops at our local mall that sells blacklights and posters. I guess I'll treat 1/2 of a shirt and wear it in there for a preliminary test. I'll let you know....
