Just got back from my hunt in Wyoming, just to many choices, the Antelope took isn't B&C, I picked it mainly for the unusual horns the way they almost touch.

Nice buck.....not that common to see a "hog tight" fence in Wyoming, where did you get him?

Nice antelope, Pahoghunter. We usually hunt in Casper area and a couple of years ago I got an old boy who's horns curled forward and formed a cool heart shape, no mass and tiny cutters but cool none the less.

If you can't a monster, kill one with character. Hope you get that boy mounted.

My guide told me if properly prepared it is wonderful. I never tried it, I gave mine to a local who had fallen on hard times. I hope he enjoys eating as much as I did giving it to him.

My buddy had one done from last years hunt as a European pedestal mount and it looks excellent. I've got three shoulder mounts and if I ever get another pronghorn mounted it will be European.

Are antelope good eating?

I really believe a lot of the "good eating" factor depends on where the antelope are. I hunt around the Casper area and the antelope are outstanding. My wife will no longer eat deer because the antelope are much better. With that said, I've also spoken to people who say that antelope are terrible. Described to me as "tasting like a wet wool blanket smells." I really think its all about location and what the antelope have been eating. Around Casper, you better like the taste of sage....
