Well my omega is on the way, along with my new nikon omega scope. My question is what is the best setup for a base and rings?

You have spent alot of money to have a quality setup, don't buy a cheap set of mounts and mess it up.I'm not sure who all makes mounts for the Omega, buy quality.

You will have to buy a mounting plate for the top of your Omega, which will take about anybodys rings. After paying $400.00 to $650.00 for the rifle, and $250.00 for the scope, it really doesn't make sense to take a Wally World approach toward the base and rings. Buy good solid STEEL rings, not the aluminum cheapies. You will be much happier in the long run.

I use the double loop Weaver rings personaly, but there are other brands that are equally as good.
