Snakes, rats, mice, etc...It is accurate enough at short distances.

real close work on rats and snakes.
not muck good for anything over 10-15 feet away.

Up close is fine... wouldn't be much use skeet shooting though.

Every time I hunt (except during archery/muzzle loader season where pistol carrying isn't legal) I have my ruger under my shoulder. The first two loads are CCI snake loads, the next 4 are SJSPs. You should see the size of the rattler I killed a couple years ago.

I don't keep shotshell under the hammer...
A couple of years ago, a friend shot a deer diretly in the hindparts, shattering its pelvis and paralyzing it. When we got up to it it needed to be dispatched immediately. I was carrying my GP-100 and handed it to him. You should have seen the look on that bucks face. A second shot in the neck put it out of its misery.
I carry snake shot in my shirt pocket if I feel like I might be able to use it. I avoid snakes, and if I got into a situation where a snake attacked me, I wouldn't have time to pull my revolver anyways.

A friend uses it in a S&W M25 to dispatch irritating birds. He tells me that the .45 ACP's will topple a pidgeon out to 10 yards or so

I guess the shot shell is no good after all... I don't have any snakes in my part, I just thought it would be okay for some small game hunting, but if it is not accurate past 10 yards, there is no point, it probably spreads the load way out..,. Thanks!
