do any manufacturers besides Eagle make a boot type grip for the square butt wheelie or am I stuck with those ginormous hogue grips? My preference is to wood. Thanks guys

Craig Spegal (sp?) makes/made a set of "secret service" grips that were for a square-butt smith IIRC.
You can get your square butt smith round-butted by a smith that knows what he's doing, if youre interested.

Know what you mean. I have hogues on mine, and I'm tempted to change them to the factory stocks just to get the size down. It does shoot sweet with those Hogues though.....

Theres nothing wrong with the the small S&W grips and a Tyler T-grip adapter. Thats a small, controllable (albeit, old school) package.

...are what I have on my 64 snub w/s&w magnas.
I also glanced at Ahrends...are their grips shorter than the hogues?
