I need information on Pope and Young record book qualifications. I have taken a good buck with a bow this past season and did not realize this would make any kind of record book. The taxidermist called and said I should have this deer "SCORED" officially. He said he scored it at 150?, but we needed a official scorer to measure it. I live in Bloomington Indiana. Thanks for any info.

I believe the minimum score for Pope and Young is 120. Either 120 or 125 but I'm pretty sure its 120 for typical. Sorry, I'm not a bow hunter but my brother and law is and my dad just mounted another P&Y whitetail for him. He's go 2 P&Y whitetail, 1 mule deer, and 1 elk, so I hear about it quite a bit. Check the web. I'm sure P&Y has a web site that can give you the info you need. If not, maybe a gun/archery shop, another taxidermist, parks and wildlife.

If you go to http://www.pope-young.org/findmeasurer.asp?id=MEASURE there is a guy in Bloomington that is a scorer.
