Stevens model 94 single shot 12 guage

My Uncle gave me this gun almost 25 years ago and is still my squirrel gun today.

My question is, will this gun shoot slugs? It has "series M 2 3/4" & 3"shells" stamped on it.

It will shoot slugs.

It may not shoot slugs well.

It will kick hard.

If you can handle the kick and find a slug it likes, it may be worth the effort.

The choke determines the accuracy. Usually the less choke, the better groups.
